Had an incredible meal at Umami Sushi in Manhattan! The sashimi platter was super fresh and beautifully put together -- everything from the uni to the scallop and tuna tasted amazing. Loved the presentation with the flowers and little touches that made it feel really special. You can tell they care about both the quality and the look of the food. Definitely one of the best sushi spots I've been to in NYC. Can't wait to go back!

5 stars all the way! The sushi was incredibly fresh and melted in my mouth. You can really taste the quality in every piece. The presentation was beautiful, and the chef clearly knows what they're doing. Highly recommend the uni and toro -- absolutely amazing!

For such a little place, I was surprised at how great the sushi was! Kudos to the sushi chef! The mini omakase was delicious, especially the tuna, scallop, hamachi, and kanpachi. The yellowtail jalapeño roll was great. The king salmon avocado roll wasn't my favorite, but I'd definitely come back.

Soooo good and the wine is so cheap I love coming here. The staff are so nice, and the ambiance is perfect for dates or small groups (not a big place)

I went for lunch and got the three roll special with spicy salmon, spicy tuna and salmon mango. Rolls were fresh especially for only $15.95. Service was good and quick. It's a smaller place but when I went I was able to sit immediately. Good for dining alone or going with a friend.

This was a 10/10 incredible experience (disclaimer: my friend and I were ~3 drinks in when we stumbled upon this place, but I feel like my review would've been the same even if I was stone cold sober). Picture this: it's late, nothing is open, it's drizzling, and it's right before closing. The owners could have definitely asked us to leave, but they were kind enough to let us in for a quick bite. My friend and I both got the crispy rice bites with salmon and avocado. My only comment on this? DIVINE. There's no other way to describe these salmon bites. Everything was the perfect ratio of rice to salmon to avocado. I was absolutely blown away, and I would absolutely come back again. Cannot recommend this place enough -- and crispy rice has absolutely become my new go-to late night snack.

Love this place for sushi. Best take out for best price in the city. They aren't the friendliest but the sushi makes up for it. lol. Ambiance is very casual but still cozy. Love love love.

Came here on a weeknight looking for some quick and causal sushi. This spot is small but very cute and cozy inside. There were lots of choices and the sushi came out fresh and delicious.

This place has solid sushi for the price. You'd easily spend twice as much for sushi of this quality at other places. I was able to walk in without a reservation on a Sunday evening. The restaurant has a cozy vibe and it only seats a handful of tables. The staff were super attentive and food came quickly. I ordered some sake, a cucumber salad, and a sushi deluxe dinner set. The sushi deluxe consisted of 10 pieces of nigiri and a spicy tuna roll and was only $26!! I wasn't the biggest fan of the cucumber salad (the dressing was a little too sweet for my taste) but I was pretty blown away by the sushi quality for the price. I appreciated that they gave a variety of fish types in the nigiri selection. The pieces are very big, but I felt quite full at the end of my meal. My only complaint is that I wish it was closer to my neighborhood so I could come here more often
